About This Game
Kirby and the Forgotten Land NSP is the latest installment in the popular Kirby video game series. It marks the pink puffball’s first full 3D platforming adventure. Developed by HAL Laboratory and published by Nintendo, Forgotten Land takes players on a colorful journey through mysterious, ruined worlds to rescue the Waddle Dees kidnapped by the ferocious Beast Pack.
Gameplay
It’s great that the developer has maintained the classic gameplay style but with a new 3D perspective. Kirby can inhale and swallow enemies to then use their abilities. In this way, he can defeat enemies, explore lands, overcome platforming challenges, and discover secret areas. Each world always contains some hidden areas that players must discover with ingenuity.
Kirby and the Forgotten Land introduces a new ability called Kirby’s Mouth Mode. It allows him to swallow specific objects and gain special powers. For example, after swallowing a car, Kirby transforms into a square vehicle capable of speeding through tracks and walls, or into a vending machine that allows him to quickly destroy enormous obstacles.
Overall, Forgotten Land’s gameplay perfectly blends platforming, puzzles, combat, and exploration. The developer cleverly integrates all these elements into each level. While the challenge isn’t overly complex, we believe Kirby and the Forgotten Land will keep you hooked for many hours.
